2015 has been the year of the proud fathers and mothers in the Nigeria entertainment industry, as they have all embraced the joys of parenthood. It’s been a thrill.
With the advent of social media, it’s pretty easy seeing how these celebs are enjoying their new roles as parents, as they get to show off various photos and videos of their bundles of joy.
This said, let’s run through a list of some favourite celebs who have had a baby so far this year, 2015 –
In no particular order;
This famous Nigerian rapper was the first to kick off the year in the big way. He welcomed his first child with girlfriend Adebukunmi Aisha Suleiman, on the 30th of January, 2015.
He took to Instagram and expressed his joy in these words:
‘Mercy said no, never gonna let you go .Never gonna let you walk away, You don’t have to be afraid, mercy said no. Got you boy
️ New signee #YBNL “Batifeori Maximiliano Adedeji”’.
The actress welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Kenny Rodriguez, in May.
She also had a heartfelt way of expressing her gratitude for the beautiful gift:
‘Baby matthew is here! Just one look at him and the world is alright with me! Yeah it’s a lovely day! Thank you Jesus! Thank you ALL for your prayers! We are grateful and thankful for this gift of life.#geminibaby’
Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Neptune, also joined the league of fathers when he welcomed his baby girl in June this year with wife, Ese Imohiosen.
He had this to say after the arrival of his new bundle:
‘And My blessing has arrived. Thank you God.. Thank you Wifey…. Boys are now MEN. Proud Father.. Proud Husband.. Perfect gift for #FathersDay God I give You all the glory.’
The dentist-turned-singer embraced his bundle of joy when his wife, Simi Osomo, was delivered of a beautiful baby girl in May, 2015.
He shared the words below on social media after the little one was born:
‘My little girl is absolutely amazing #ThankYouLord #Thankful #Blessed #ThankYouSimi #ThankYouAllforyourPrayers #AndThenTheyWere3.’
TV/ Radio personality and ex Big Brother Africa winner, Karen Igho, shared a photo of her baby after his arrival on the July, 4, 2015. She got married to Yaroslav Rakos in December 2014.
Her words:
”Finally my son is here. Welcome to my world . Thank you Lord for a safe delivery”.
Model and actor IK Ogbonna welcomed a baby boy with fiancée, Sonia Morales, in June 2015. We recall how the couple looked super cool on the AMVCA 2015 Red Carpet in March, in spite of Sonia being heavily pregnant.
Ogbonna welcomed his boy with the words:
‘ACE ( My Son)♠️ is finally here From colabo
We done born mulato

It has obviously been a MAVIN year, with stars from the label welcoming one babhy after the other. D’Prince joined the list as became a father in June, 2015. It was somewhat a double celebration seeing as the new baby is also the nephew of the Mavins boss, Don Jazzy.
D’Prince had this to say when he announced his little one’s arrival:
‘There comes a time when a boy has to become a MAN. The love of my life just gave me a bouncing baby boy. To God be the glory. Now I feel my life has a purpose. To live for my boy. #NewDaddy.’
HKN boss, Davido, also became a daddy this year amidst some controversy. It was alleged that he first denied being the father of the child, but later put all differences concerning the story to rest, confirming that he is now, in fact, a father.
His baby mama, Sophie Momodu (who also happens to be the cousin of media mogul, Dele Momodu) was delivered of a baby girl in May 2015.
He expressed his excitement on his Instagram page:
‘God is Great , New life, New beginnings, New Album, It’s our year’
The most recent parent in the MAVIN group, Tiwa Savage, was delivered of a baby boy on July 22, 2015 with husband, Tunji Balogun aka Teebillz.
Teebillz simply expressed his gratitude following the joyful occurrence with the words;Thank You Jesus….’
